'The eye is the light of the body', how relevant and critical is this statement by Jesus today?

• 📱 Smartphones, to name a few

What we use every day to learn has become riskier today. Children get introduced to evils that will destroy their future.

Do I need to name the evils? Not at all.

Today, all kinds of information are freely available.

What happened in the Garden of Eden is happening at a 1000x rate today. The desperation to try new things. Curiosity. AI technologies are rapidly changing and pushing boundaries.

Man got drawn to the knowledge he wasn't ready for in the Garden of Eden. His connection with the devil drove an urgent need to derive value he thought would help him grow. Instead, he got disconnected from God.

Spending more time on temporal relationships and things fills our hearts with desires that charge us up for this life, not eternity. Eve saw that the fruit was pleasant to look at. When we look at what we should not, what can we expect? We get lured into a disobedience that leads to destruction.

Let's fix our eyes on Jesus. Follow the path He took to enter into everlasting life. What a glorious day it will be when we meet Him in the air.
