Nothing else matters but the love of God
A pandemic is enough to reveal the futility of carnal pursuits.
Like Solomon said, all is vanity, everything under the Sun.
Which kind of believer is God looking for in these times?
Those who are willing to forsake all for the glory of God. Not only forsake the things of this earth, but also hate his own life on earth (Luke 14:26-33).
This will sound impossible for the nominal believer. The truth is, God will refresh, restore and refine, all who come to Him in repentance.
A deeper consecration is necessary to stay pure and committed in our journey. Then we will find ourselves in the everlasting embrace of Jesus.
Leave all for the love of God
Don’t let your love for anyone or anything exceed your love for Jesus. Careers, Jobs, Reputation, Status, love for material possessions, separate us from God. Everything will look and feel normal in the beginning. Till we find ourselves so caught up in the busyness of this world. Most often leading us to love them more than God.
Peter left his father, and his fishing business the moment Christ called him. So did the other disciples.
Paul, the apostle, gave up his Jewish status and privileges to do the will of God.
We also read about Moses; he left the pleasures of this life for the hope before him (Hebrews 11:25,26). Moses lived a luxurious life in the Pharaoh’s palace. Great food, clothing, arts and sciences, were a normal lifestyle for him.
Love God with all you have, then He will help us overcome all to live for Him alone. Don’t worry about losing anything because the joy in Christ surpasses every other joy Of this world.
Our life on this earth is for only a little while. Soon, we will meet our love. Jesus is coming for His eternal bride. Praise God and Amen!
