Keep God First

I recently heard a testimony of a believer youth who left office one day troubled because his phone got stolen. While walking down the road, a drunk man behind him shouted, “Keep God first”. He got scared and walked faster away from the person. He realised it wasn’t an ordinary experience. For most believers, radical encounters awaken them to reconsider their walk with God.

Can you see the kingdom of God? What does it mean to SEE the kingdom of God? The born-again experience is a life-transforming event in a believer’s life.

Some see visions. It could be a still feature or a video-like experience.

Some have deep impressions in their mind and heart that are impossible to deny.

Others have vivid dreams that may keep repeating to drive home the point of God’s love.

Some others have undeniable angelic visitations that bring the good news.

This 'seeing' is a supernatural event and not the result of man’s efforts or conditioning.

It’s an undeniable and inexplicable to put in words experience for the one to whom God reveals the truth. Many children and youth often have supernatural encounters and do not tell others for two reasons. One, they don’t know how to express it. Two, they think no one will believe them. Over time, the child forgets his experience and gets entangled in worldliness.

Most forget and never get serious about their spiritual growth.

This forgetful nature is too common and an attack on our spiritual growth. The fleshly eyes' constant exposure to media and technology and the pressures of our jobs pull us down from the high standard God has called us to.

The flesh fights against us daily to keep us away from our heavenly calling. Fight the good fight of faith. Stand for Jesus. Seek His Kingdom daily. Renew your vision.

Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
