Love Keeps You In God’s Will
What happens when you love? You forget about yourself and desire your love.
Today, many young believers claim to believe in Jesus but have no love for Him. This means they still believe Him to be the only way. But, they have given their heart to another love. How long can one continue to believe God after his heart gets occupied by strange love?
When God isn't your first love, you serve another god.
Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god... (Psalm 16:4). Sorrows multiply for those who love anything or anyone more than God.
Many working youth think their purchasing power can shut up trouble. They don't realise they are storing trouble, waiting to explode in time. Some lose themselves to various lusts as they live in extravagance disguised as abundance.
When you are born-again, you see an eternal kingdom. Your heart fills with joy and peace as you receive the hope of being with Jesus forever. You forget about yourself and desire God's will. Just like a foolish believer gets trapped in various lusts and adds to his miseries. When we forget about ourselves and desire God's will, we add more of Christ and less of ourselves as we submit daily.
John said it loud and clear. Let Him increase, and I decrease (John 3:30). Paul echoes, not I, but Christ in Galatians 2:20. Jesus said it first, not my will, but Your will be done.
God opens our eyes to the powerful reality of our lives as humans when we are born-again. Do you need a fresh encounter? Seek Him. Renew the vision of the love displayed on the cross on Calvary.
Only God's love can lead us to eternity. Return to God's love.
Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
