Jesus Is Your Best Friendship

Friendships are for fun, and then they turn helpful over time. Bigger responsibilities in life take priority. The worldly realise that some friends are worth keeping. But its worth is based on how useful they are to you. Not how much I can give them. Or it's a mutual unwritten arrangement between friends. 

What happens when you walk with your friend Jesus? As believers who await the coming of the Lord, intimacy with Jesus brings great benefits, unlike any other friendship on the planet. 

In general, we listen to friends because we value their suggestions or recommendations. We seek commonalities, and one learns to pass the time in their company. 

What does it mean to have a friend like Jesus? 

Jesus sought us. We had nothing in common with Him. He came into our lives and opened our hearts to see how we are made for each other. 

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE BENEFITS OF THIS FRIENDSHIP WITH JESUS? 

HEALING 

(Matthew 8:8, 9)

Jesus healed everyone who came to Him or kept His company. 

DELIVERANCE 

(Mark 5:8)

Jesus delivered anyone brought to Him for deliverance from evil spirits. 

GUIDANCE 

(Psalms 119:176)

Jesus guides or counsels anyone who asks Him about the way, truth and life. When we go astray, returning to Jesus sorts us. 

PEACE 

(Psalms 85:8)

As the Prince of Peace, what are we assured about Jesus? He will fill us with His peace. 

Eternal life 

(John 6:68)

Peter, the unlearned and uneducated man, knew the value of Jesus' words. His words are full of eternal life. 

Let's learn to trust in Jesus fully. All other relationships will fit in perfectly with Him consistent in our lives. Otherwise, we'll only end up pleasing others to eventually being left to feel alone.
