How to stay safe in the presence of God?

We need to stay safe in the presence of God. What's the secret of staying safe? It is obedience to God's word. A lot of christians today preach cheap grace. Be aware, we cannot mock God, we reap what we sow.

Three examples to reveal the need of the hour for every believer.

DO EXACTLY AS GOD SAYS

God told a man of God not eat or drink in the place where God had sent him to prophesy. An old lying prophet deceived him. The old prophet lied saying God sent an angel to invite him home for food. The man of God got convinced and ate with him. The result, he was killed by a lion on the way (1 Kings 13).

DO NOT BE GREEDY

Gehazi, Elisha’s servant, took a portion of the reward Namaan had brought when Elisha had refused it and explicitly said not to take. Gehazi ended up becoming a leper. We see Namaan, a leper, receive healing only when he obeyed Elisha's command of dipping himself in the water seven times. It was a specific command. We really need to do what God tells us.

STAY FOCUSED ON JESUS

Judas had the greatest privilege of walking with Jesus. Despite all the ministry he did during Jesus time, he ended up betraying Jesus for money. The love of money pulls us away from God. The love of money has brought down many saints. The only way to overcome is through a life of obedience that necessitates a heart full of love for Jesus.
