What is the need of the hour for believers?
What is the need of the hour for believers?
“...it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should *earnestly contend for the faith* which was once delivered unto the saints.” Jude 1:3
With all the noise around, coupled with divisive work of the devil inside the church, we are in the midst of a raging battle. Faith is being compromised. Money is taking precedence over the high calling (consecration) God brought us into.
God is just, he destroyed His own (disobedient) children in the wilderness, did not spare angels who rejected His calling, made an example of Sodom and Gomorrah (Jude 4-8). Today, we have all kinds of sensual philosophies and decisions being made in the church. We are in a greatly compromised spiritual environment.
Diligence is the need of the hour for believers
Diligence requires an earnestness. Contending for the faith is not always about responding to others. It's first about being an example. Responding to the questions in your head first, rather than let it linger around and hound you later in life.
When we learn and exercise what we know about our faith walk, God prepares us for the next stage. Overcoming barriers that hinder your personal walk with God is critical so you can stand the test of trials that come along the way when we are called into ministry.
Be available
Being available is about responding to God's call to minister in time of need. As we build ourselves in the faith, those who hear us or watch our lives evolve, turn to us. God raises such people to hear the word of truth.
Keep looking at Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. He won eternal life for us; He will make us blameless if we stay with Him till the end. Maranatha, Praise God and Amen!
