How To Ask Help From God?

As soon as we reach a certain level of maturity in life, we realise that no one can help us. God is always present to help, and none seek Him.

As believers, we forget that God alone helped us thus far. Instead of waiting on Him in prayer, we keep sulking and complaining.

Reflection: Aaron's sons - Nadab, Abihu, ELEAZAR, and Ithamar (Exodus 6:23).

Eleazar means help.

HOW TO ASK FOR HELP FROM GOD?

King Asa seeks help from God (2 Chronicles 14:11). How do we pray when we seek help from God? Admit our lack of strength or power.

The Parents of the child with fits sought help from Jesus (Mark 9:22). 'Have mercy and help us.' Jesus has compassion before healing. A man says, 'Help thou my unbelief.'

Each person in the Godhead helps.

A helper forever (John 14:16).

The Holy Spirit helps us pray (Romans 8:26)

We should always desire help from God.

LIVE A LIFE OF SEPARATION

Eleazar served as a priest (Exodus 28:1). He kept himself separate from Nadab and Abihu who offered strange fire. GOD DESIRES A LIFE OF SEPARATION from us. Israel remained separate from others (Numbers 23:9).

RECEIVE REBUKE GRACIOUSLY

Eleazar did not eat of the sin offering (goat) (Leviticus 10:16). They burnt it to ashes. Moses rebukes them. How do you think faithful Eleazar would've received the rebuke?

‭Psalms 141:5 Let the godly strike me! It will be a kindness! If they correct me, it is soothing medicine. Don’t let me refuse it. But I pray constantly against the wicked and their deeds.

‭Proverbs 1:23 If you will turn and pay attention to my rebuke, Behold, I [Wisdom] will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you.

Dear believer, seek God for all your needs. God is a very present help in trouble.
