Come, Lord Jesus
Who can say, Come, Lord Jesus? Primarily, two kinds of saints will say so, desiring the return of Jesus daily. (Revelation 22:17)
Bride of Christ
Hearers of the Word
Who is the Bride of Christ? Spirit-baptized believers who love Jesus and desire only Jesus. Loving Jesus is more important to them than any spiritual gifts or ministries they may have. A true lover only craves her love daily. Nothing better than sitting at Jesus' feet.
Hearers are doers (James 1:22) (Revelation 22:14). Spirit-baptized believers who love the presence of God. God is their delight, and His word is the source of their greatest joy. The Tree of Life is for those who meditate on the world of God, day and night. (Psalms 1:1-3)
Are you thirsty for Jesus?
The word of God encourages the thirsty to come to Him. Many in the world hunger and thirst to know God. To such, God says, come. Cornelius did not know Jesus, but his prayers and alms reached God. God sent Peter to his house to preach the gospel. The eunuch hungered for truth, and God miraculously sent Philip.
Some seek to do God's will. God invites them to His presence. These people come humbly without preconceived ideas about God or questioning His authority.
