Believe in the work you are called to do

A job is exactly what it is. A job. It may be exciting at first. Eventually the routine gets to you. After a point the lack of values or compromises in the way begin to affect your thinking. Right after you mastered the manual or physical nature of your daily work routine, the mental and emotional begins to take effect.

Over a period of time, an employee is carefully inspired to “believe”. That what he or she is working on, professionally, is life itself. Hmmm, that sounds familiar to a Christian, right?

Believing in anything requires time commitment. We end up enslaved to a money-based system. A foundation rooted and grounded in Christ becomes necessary.

For a while now, modern workplace tactics has been trying to blend life and work. Introducing new programs like 'Bring your family to work' and other in-house fun for employees who tend to work over-time. People in darkness walk in a hope that is miserable and for this life only; believers need to be aware of giving their time to God more, rather than work.

Believe in the work for eternal life

Organisations today, is merging work and life. What is it that we cannot afford to forget? "Life", for all believers, is founded in the Word of God. Which means, as organisations promote a worldly culture increasingly, we cannot afford to compromise God's word in our lives. As leaders and brands motivate you to believe in your work, they will manipulate you to adjust your life according to their work. Not the other way round.

We cannot fight this system. We need Jesus, a prayer life that keeps us grounded. A bible study life that keeps our minds afresh in God. We protect ourselves from earthly philosophies.

Joseph did not allow the corruption of his workplace push him away from God. Neither did Daniel or Esther. We, the New Testament believers, have been called to be perfectly entwined with Christ. Tent-makers Aquila and Priscilla did their work but stayed focused on building hearts and minds in Christ. Paul was an apostle who made money to feed poor churches.

Stay focused dear brother and sister on your high calling in Christ. Work to live, and live for Jesus. Maranatha, Praise God and Amen!

Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.

John 6:27
