How To Labour For God?

We are called to be labourers. How many know how to labour for God? How many believers make the effort to want to know?

The only way for believers to grow is through a lifestyle of labouring for God. Labouring for eternal life. These days people give 14-16 hours to work everyday. Did the lord give us a new day to spend (overtime) at work or labour for Him?

Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed. (John 6:27)

Here are 6 ways to labour for eternal life.

1. Labour in prayers, daily (Colossians 4:12)
2. Growing in righteousness will make you a person who is a life giver (Proverbs 10:16)
3. Labour in Love, to all (1 Thessalonians1:3) (Hebrews 6:10)
4. Trust the living God (1 Timothy 4:10)
5. Be examples (2 Thessalonians 3:8, 9)
6. Care for souls (1 Thessalonians 3:5)

If you are young or new in the faith, be willing to come under spiritual tutelage. Spiritual counsel and fellowship is necessary to labour for the Lord at an early age. Be part of a church that helps you grow, teaches deeper doctrines that teach you to exercise God's Word. When we go through the path God leads us in, we grow through to victory, as overcomer's to be seated at the throne of God. A labourer is an overcomer.

To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. (Revelations 3:21)

Seek Christ and He will lead you. Fix your eyes only on Jesus. He is our example.
