Your Importance Comes From Christ

Why do people desire to be important? 

If you don't know you are important, you will desire importance. 

Your feelings will betray you like it does the unsaved. These desires for importance stem from a sinful heart. A lack of identity about who you are will leave you weary and faint inside. Many give up and get depressed, and some give up altogether.

The worldly run after the things of the world to prove they are important. They keep trying to show others they are important, with their opinions, photos and videos on social media. Blinded by Satan, they derive importance from what they think is good.

What does the Bible say? 

• None is righteous. (Romans 3:10)

• No one is good. (Matthew 19:17)

• No one seeks God. (Romans 3:11)

Jesus established that only God is good. How did He prove it? By doing the will of God. Anyone who loves God by keeping His commandments does well, and is important because they believe and worship God as good through their lifestyles.

We are clay in the hand of the potter. As believers, He has called us with a high, heavenly, and holy calling. You are important because the Creator of the heavens and the earth thought of you. You were created with a purpose as members of the body of Christ.

You are important because God uniquely thought of you to be a member of His body. Not all parts are the same. Each part has a unique role to play, and therefore, important in the eyes of God.
