You will receive healing only if you want to
No amount of gospel meetings and prayers can change the heart if you don't want to change. When we hold on to old natures, we restrict the word of God's work in us. Holding on to older fleshly attitudes reveals unbelief because you are unwilling to trust God's promises to bring you victory. Many are reluctant to change because feeding their lusts feels immediately satisfying. It's safest to trust in God's goodness rather than sinful natures that will only weaken you spiritually.
Do you constantly get angry and bitter at others?
Israel quickly got angry and bitter after leaving Egypt. The unpredictability of walking in the wilderness felt more burdensome than the typical life they knew how to live under Egyptian slavery.
What do we see God saying?
If my people, called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)
What do we need to do to receive healing?
1. Humble ourselves: Jesus humbled Himself to save us.
2. Pray: Jesus prayed that God protects us.
3. Seek His face: Jesus prayed that the gospel preached should save hungry souls.
4. Turn away from wicked ways: Jesus prayed that as we seek Him, we overcome sin, sickness, fear of death, and Satan.
When we live like the example Jesus showed us, God will hear from heaven, forgive and heal us to be a blessing to all.
Our hearts can heal from bitterness and vengeful natures only if we turn to God. Bitter hearts reject healing when we choose our ways rather than what God wants.
Submit to God. Resist the devil in praise and prayers. Study the word of God and live out His word WHEREVER HE TAKES YOU.
Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
