Why Remember God?
Why must we remember God?
There are several reasons to remember God. Here are five;
GOD GIVES US THE POWER TO CREATE WEALTH
(Deuteronomy 8:18)
Many boast about how they did this and that to make wealth. They look down upon others who remain in a lower financial state. But it is God who opens ways for people to become rich on earth, not our abilities. Many forget God after they get a high-paying job or make much money in their business. Even some church leaders favour the rich. When we remember God, we remain humble and give to those in need the love and care as the Spirit leads.
WE REMAIN OBEDIENT AND HOLY
Holiness (Numbers 15:40)
Obedience (Numbers 15:40)
God commanded Moses to make tassels for the borders of their clothing to remind them to walk in the way of God in obedience and purity. When we remember God, we have a choice to either be obedient and stay holy or do our own will.
WE WON'T SLIP SPIRITUALLY
(Psalms 37:31)
A mentor or guide keeps us on track all the time. When we remember their words, we know what to do next. The Holy Spirit is the best mentor ever! He reminds us of Jesus and leads us in truth and comfort (John 14:26/15:26)
NO OTHER GOD
(Isaiah 46:9)
Isn't it the greatest privilege for us as believers to know and worship the living God? He is the only true God. There is none like Him. He is unlike any of the false gods or idols who confuse or leave us unsatisfied in the end.
Dear youth, remember God. You're always on His mind, and that's why you still live. Praise Him. Give Him all the glory with your life.
Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
