Who Is Mighty?

And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire: Revelation‬ ‭10:1‬

It’s time that we humble ourselves and lift up our heads because the day of redemption is fast approaching. To be seen at the coming of Jesus we need to be found in the grace of God. How do we get this grace? God grants grace to those who are humble. 2 Peter 3:18.

The term “coming down” refers to humbling oneself. Heaven is full of humility. Jesus humbled Himself and came down from heaven. Only those who are in heaven (living a higher standard of life) can come down. Being saved by grace, Jesus made us to sit with Him in heavenly places so that we can come down anytime. Ephesians 2:6,7

There is another place called The Bottomless Pit (a place in Hell) which is the exact opposite of all what Heaven stands for. The bottomless pit is full of pride as opposed to total humility in Heaven. Lucifer was once a mighty angel of God. But one thought of pride in his mind (of usurping God’s place) caused his downfall. Therefore we need to be careful about not allowing this spirit of pride work in us and make us go against God.

PRIDE WILL NEVER LET US COME DOWN.

The Mighty Angel (in the key verse) came down. Only the mighty can come down because their strength is found in humility. Psalms 29:1. The humble are strong. The proud are weak; are easily offended. One such example was King Nebuchadnezzar. He became a beast in his character and works because of pride. Daniel 4:28-30.

Therefore let’s desire to be humble and acknowledge our state to God so that He blesses us with abundance of grace to live each day of our lives. May God help us.
