Who do you belong to?

Joblessness or any trial is hard. It can swing you into a dangerous depression. But, I'm way too privileged to be depressed. Why? I have Jesus. God has blessed my life with meaning and purpose, and love. Genuine love.The moment God opened my eyes to reveal why I was depressed, everything changed. I hated the world, and the things of the world. I did not want to live for anyone else anymore. I wanted to live for Jesus alone.Since then, I've grown closer to God, flooded by love and a sense of giving. I know my enemy because I'm submitted to God.My identity is in Christ Jesus. I have been called to be a king and priest, "And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” Revelation‬ ‭1:6‬ ‭I am a King, called to rule and overcome all evil natures.I am a Priest, holy and consecrated for God's work.When I read 1 Peter 2:9, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:” (1 Peter‬ ‭2:9‬), it's clear who I am as a believer and what I'm separated to do.Who am I? I am who God created me for, chose me for, His delight. What am I to do? Show forth his praise. What does that mean? Live a lifestyle in thought, word, and in action which glorifies God in me. As I am His delight, my delight in Him needs to overflow out of me.Sin killed the human spirit, separated it from its creator forever. An encounter with Jesus restores all, to a life in eternity. Yet, many believers struggle with their walk with God. Why? They fail to recognise that there is no life without Jesus. We cannot separate any part of us for anything without Jesus. He is all pervasive. We belong to Jesus. We need to tell the world about Jesus.Jesus is the joy of all the earth.
