What To Know About God’s Love?
What does it mean 'God is love'? Or, what are three things every believer needs to know about God's love?
LOVE IS OF GOD
(1 John 4:7-8)
Love comes from God. He is the only source of true love. Every love that is not of God is not love and is fleshly lust - a craving of sinful nature biased by outward beauty. Only those who seek God begin to understand love and grow in it.
GOD'S LOVE IS ALIVE
(1 John 4:9-10)
God's love isn't just a symbol. He actioned His love by sending His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, so mankind is redeemed from the clutches of sin, sickness, and the fear of death. By the power of God, Jesus shed His blood and rose again so you and I can enter into eternal life when we believe and follow Jesus (John 3:16,17). Jesus is the living God working in a submitted believer.
GOD SUPPLIES THE LOVE
(Romans 5:5)
God shows His love in Christ Jesus. He also supplies His love through the Holy Spirit which strengthens us to love others. God's love is perfect. His perfect love drives out every fear (1 John 4:18). Not only ours, but the Spirit works in the believer to walk among signs and wonders.
God's love is unthinkable or unimaginable for the sinful man. The believer understands he is nothing without God's love. When we trust God in patient prayer by faith, He does what is best for us.
Jesus is the reason we stand before the Father. The Holy Spirit is the reason we stay. The submitted Christian life is a perfect harmony of God's love operating through the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Seek His face, dear believer. The time is near. Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
