What Is The Beauty Of Fellowship?

During these stay at home days, I have come to realise that the true beauty of fellowship shines during the middle of a crisis — When nothing seems to make sense any more, when all seems lost. It is then that the power of fellowship shines through victoriously.

An Example:

King Nebuchadnezzar saw a dream, and his spirit became very troubled. It worried him so much that he couldn’t sleep anymore. However, the best part in it all was that he forgot about the dream and couldn’t remember what it was!! Therefore, he gave orders to call in the magicians, the conjurers, the sorcerers and wizards in his kingdom, every one of them, and tell the king his dream. Daniel chapter 2.

He also warned them that in case they were unable to reveal the dream and its interpretation to him, they would be cut into pieces and their houses would be made into a heap of rubbish. Daniel 2:5.

Not only were the wise men in King Nebuchadnezzar’s kingdom in danger, Daniel and the three young men of God, Hananiah, Azariah and Mishael were in danger as well.

What did Daniel and his men do?

He prayed together with the three young men in order that they might seek compassion from the God of heaven regarding this secret, so that Daniel and his companions would not be executed with the rest of the wise men of Babylon. Daniel‬ ‭2:18‬.

The Result: Their prayer was answered and God revealed an “impossible to know” secret to Daniel. Daniel 2:19.

Examples of Peter And Jehoshaphat:

When Peter was imprisoned and guarded by 4 sets of soldiers for each watch, he was freed by a mighty angel because of the prayer of the church. Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him. Acts‬ ‭12:5‬

When Jehoshaphat realised he cannot fight such a great army which came against him, he held a fast and prayer. God fought his battle for him. 2 Chronicles 20:3-17.

How are you using your fellowship during the lockdown?

Dear child of God, this time period will reveal great truths about our own walk with God. What we choose to do next will seal our lives forever. Choose to be Jesus to the world around you. Forget the past and live an overcoming life by faith in Christ alone. Praise God and Amen!
