What does the truth enable?

For the last couple of days, I’ve been hitting refresh internally a lot more. Seeking the Lord to help me refocus after a barrage of issues that crept my way. The keyword in my heart was to pursue the Truth. As I started to meditate and reflect on my life in the word of God, I hit on two key aspects about the truth.

One, the truth has the power to sanctify our hearts. I wrote about it in my previous post. Second, the truth brings power to testify.

One is about internal impressions, the other is about external expressions.

One helps us to be prepared and stay available. The other helps us deliver on demand, an actionable.

Once we are sanctified in our hearts by the truth, we are prepared to testify Christ in our lives. Our lives become a testimony of The Fathers amazing work in our lives in Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God testifies Christ in us, a reality.

“But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:” John‬ ‭15:26‬ ‭

A Christian is one who freely testifies Christ in their lives. No man is convicted enough to proclaim Jesus is Lord without the Fathers help through the Holy Spirit.

“Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭12:3‬ ‭

Many call themselves Christian but lack the conviction which only comes from the Holy Spirit to call Jesus Lord. Jesus said you will know my people by their fruits. Most Christians conveniently forget the need to live a lifestyle in truth. They only proclaim with their lips, but fail in their deeds to testify Christ.

A true believer is ever grateful to God for every good in his life. Always thankful. Available for the Lord. He is fully aware of his salvation performed in him through the word of God and the Holy Spirit.

“But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:” 2 Thessalonians‬ ‭2:13‬ ‭

The truth is liberating, and only the truth can free us from our inadequacies, loneliness and depressed states. To be always thankful one needs to be free in their spirit. Sinful man, unsaved, is bound by the powers of darkness. His freedom can come only through believing in Jesus, the word of God, eventually powered by the Spirit of truth, the Holy Spirit.
