The Spirit of God influences the believer into action
How to recognise who is influencing you?
Did you know you are either influenced by God or the devil?
There are vessels of honour and dishonour (2 Timothy 2:10). We need to know how to possess our vessel in sanctification and honour. (1 Thessalonians 4:4)
The devil influences a man to tell lies (John 8:44). God is not a man that He will lie to you. God is the Father of truth.
The devil is influencing us if we remain confused rather than seeking God about it. God is not the author of confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33).
The devil torments hearts gripped in fear. God is love. Perfect love casts out fear. (1 John 4:18)
Do you worry about your food, clothing, shelter and material needs? Then it is the devil burdening you. The burden God gives us is light and refreshing for us and all who are around us.
What influences the believer into action?
The believer's submission to godly desires influence him into action.
A desire is a powerful feeling that leaves you enslaved. It has a stronghold or a tight grip on your heart when you submit to it.
We get vulnerable when we desire something but cannot obtain it. We give in to the strong feeling that draws us to pursue what we desire. Feelings that do not align with God's word drives the devil into action.
Before we knew Christ, we got carried away by the desires of our hearts (Ephesians 2:2, 3). Christ rescued us, so we live out the desires of God's heart. To seek His face and do His perfect will. As Spirit baptised believers, we can now live an overcoming life in Christ.
How do you get influenced? Refresh, renew and refine your thinking and feeling daily by the power of God. Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen
