Pray Fervently
Ministry (preaching to others) is not the only way to labour for Jesus. One of the most powerful weapons in the spiritual armoury is our prayer-life. Preaching according to God will always be a fruit of a diligent and fervent prayer life.
Most do not have a prayer life. They have enough material, financial, and physical blessings. They think they have a prayer life because they attend church, do a few ritualistic family prayers, and tick the checkboxes in their spiritual to-do list.
How and What to Pray For?
Jesus prayed fervently. He strived in prayer with strong crying and tears. He fought the good fight. Jesus sweat blood during prayer while on earth (Hebrews 5:7). What Jesus prayed for is elaborated in John 17.
Epaphrus prayed fervently that the church may grow perfect and complete in the will of God. (Colossians 4:12)
Paul prayed unceasingly for the church to walk worthy of the Lord, be fruitful, increase in the knowledge of God, and more. (Colossians 1:9-12)
Dear Brothers and Sisters, are you serious about your prayer life? If you are, you’ll worry about nothing because you know the value of His presence. You believe in God’s promise that He will hear and respond in time for you.
When we pray believing, our prayers will be with conviction and complete trust in God. In short, it will be a faith-filled prayer. Without faith, it is impossible to please God.
Seek to grow in faith daily. Jesus is coming for His faith-full bride. Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
