Poem: The Colt Of Christ

I was just a colt

Bound by my master

Young and inexperienced

Felt my future was a disaster

But out of the blue

I was completely set free

I did not have a clue

That God so loved me

I was taken by the disciples

Who brought me to my Lord

His grace was upon me

I was bound by love's strong cord

As I entered Jerusalem

I was taken by surprise

The love they showed my Lord

I felt it deep inside

Hosanna to my Saviour

King of kings and Lord of lords

Let every breath praise Him

And serve Him in one accord
