3 Examples To Help Understand Faith
What is faith? Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. In simpler terms, faith is trusting God to do the impossible that He has already promised.
A few practical life applications;
When you are worried, He has promised not to worry and that you trust Him.
When you are sad and burdened, He has promised comfort so you can rest in Him.
When you are in doubt, He has promised you to hold onto Him so He can deliver you in time.
Consider these insights from the life of the biblical heroes of faith from Hebrews 11;
Exemplary heroes of faith
NOAH had not yet seen rain. But, when God warned him of something he had not personally seen, he believed and saw what God promised him.
ABRAHAM had no clue where he was going when God called him. Yet, by faith, he stepped up to follow God and do His will.
SARA overcame her scientific understanding of birthing and learned to trust in God. She gave birth when she chose to believe what God said!
Every single believer who obeys God walks by faith. Obedience is the result of faith in God. Every believer must grow from putting their faith in God to putting on the faith of the Son of God.
Every believer needs to grow from faith to faith. Every believer needs to grow into a disciple of Jesus. A disciple of Jesus lives like a servant of God, daily focused on doing God's will.
