No love like the love of God in this world
Is there any love like the love of God in this world? Absolutely not. Sin has made man hate God so much that only God can rescue man from such hatred and bitterness. Despite all the power God has, He gives man the power to choose Him. Sadly, there are still those who reject Him.
Without God’s love, we are nothing.
“And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing.” (1 Corinthians 13:2)
Without Jesus, we can do nothing.
“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” (John 15:5)
True Love is only of God because God is Love.
As a believer, if we don’t have God’s forgiving, unconditional love, then we will end up walking in sin. Love is not a choice for a Christian. He is called to live everyday in the power of His love.
“and hope maketh not ashamed; because God's love is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” (Romans 5:5)
All those who say they love, will obey God's every word. That is the basic expectation from every believer. Disobeying someone you love is not love. It’s not in the nature of love.
God’s love cannot be imagined or measured by human intellect. His love can only be experienced and exhibited through humility and being poor in spirit. Humility and being poor in spirit can be learned from Jesus, none else (Matthew 11:29).
Let’s surrender ourselves daily for God’s love to transform us and change us from faith to faith, glory to glory. Jesus is coming soon, Praise God and Amen!
