Jesus is the love of my life, make Him yours too
Love is not love. Some Christians have fallen for the trap and defining love based only on their feelings. Love is not self-seeking.
God is love.
Jesus is the love of God.
The Holy Spirit pours the love of God into our hearts.
We are replenished daily through the love of God as we surrender in prayer.
When Christ opens our eyes, we find ourselves in Him. When we seek His wisdom, we find life. His wisdom and understanding enable godly living and favour. (Proverbs 8:35)
After knowing Christ, when we sin, we wrong our souls. Being disobedient to God is equal to hating Him. When we sin, we reveal a love in us which has nothing to do with God. The love of the Father is not in us if we love sin or the world (1 John 2:15).
Walking in sin and disobedience reveals we hate God and love death.
Do you hate sin and the world?
Are you loving God with all your heart, mind and strength? Do you desire all that He is?
Jesus is the love of our lives and the love we give to others.
Jesus is our example. He loved every word that proceeded from God. His obedience to the cross and resurrection is why we lack nothing.
Every other kind of love needs rejection from our lives. And this is love that we walk in His word (2 John 1:6). The fearful, love death. There is no fear in love (1 John 4:18).
Jesus desires that we love like Him. We have the privilege of sharing the highest standard of love with others. This love is possible only through Christ. It requires we root and ground ourselves in Him daily (Ephesians 3:17).
Let us, love. Love the things that God loves and hate whatever He hates. The love of God is rich and pure. God's love is all we need. Maranatha, Praise God, Amen.
