Jesus Heals
Disobedience brought sickness into the world. It wasn't God's will for us to suffer in sickness. God had created everything good for man, His creation. The Father sent Jesus to die on the cross to bring us victory over sins and sicknesses too. Jesus healed all manner of sickness and diseases (Matthew 4:23)
Today, by His stripes, we are already healed (1 Peter 2:24).
Many Christians today are taking the step of faith to believe in Christ alone for their healing. Eyes are being opened to the need to have faith in God's word to receive complete healing without resorting to any medicine at all. Modern Medicine has only created more fear in the lives of people.
A woman was sick for 12 years (Mark 5:27-34). She lost all her money on doctors, only for her condition to get worse. But, when she trusted in Jesus for healing, she was completely free from the sickness.
Does God still heal today? Yes, indeed. Without medicines? Absolutely. What does it take to receive healing? Short Answer, FAITH.
Jesus is the very author and finisher of this faith (Hebrews 12:2). When we place our trust in Jesus as healer, He finishes his job.
By the grace of God, I've not only experienced healing miracles without medicine all my life till date, but also witnessed it over the years in others around me. There is no sickness that God cannot heal. It pleased God to bruise His own Son that we may be free from the bondage of sin and sicknesses (Isaiah 53:10).
Anyone who seeks God concerning this matter will know that God can, and desires to heal without human doctors. Many Christians unfortunately doubt this doctrine of divine healing, and are discouraged and deceived by the antics of fake (money minded) healers.
One doesn't need to go anywhere for healing but to Jesus. Healing is purely God's domain. The purity of healing can be accessed only through obedience. Obedience is faith in His Word. Loving God more and more, draws you closer to Him, to know this truth and trust in Him.
The centurion had great faith because he recognised the authority of Jesus. He knew Jesus more than most Christians of today. Unless we do not ask believing, we cannot receive.
G.C Bevington, Smith Wigglesworth, etc. have been well known stalwarts of faith based healing in the Christian world end 1800, beginning 1900s. Those who trust in God receive their healing just like Hezekiah, or Asa, or even those in the New Testament period. Jesus shed his precious blood for us on the cross of Calvary so we may be free. There is absolute healing power in the blood of Jesus.
God has not changed. He is the same, yesterday, today and forever. Believe and receive your healing in Jesus mighty name!
