How To Overcome Loneliness As A Believer?

People are getting lonelier despite giant technology companies trying to connect humans. Young and old, no matter what stage of life we are in, loneliness can strike anyone.

Rich or poor. Purpose-driven or not. You will find yourselves alone in this life.

Loneliness means being sad that you don't have meaningful connections. Psychology states that there are three types of loneliness - existential, emotional, and social.

Existential loneliness is thinking about how you are alone in this world - burdened about the meaning of life, etc. Emotional loneliness is about not having a support system during tough times. Social loneliness is about the inability to be part of groups or find groups that fit your thinking.

Is loneliness keeping you away from living a victorious life in Christ? None of the above can overcome a sincere believer. Why so?

A believer is never lonely in Christ Jesus.

A believer exists in heaven, and his mind is on things above. While living physically on earth, he exists mentally and emotionally under heaven's guidance.

He remains emotionally equipped because of the anointing of the Holy Spirit in his life. As a seeker of the kingdom of God, he remains in the righteousness, peace and joy found in the Holy Spirit. The joy of salvation gets daily refreshed as he pursues his heavenly calling.

He may not find groups where he is, but he is always in fellowship with the love of the Father, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the sweet fellowship of the Holy Spirit. A local church is God's will for every believer.

Dear believer, guard your heart against the spirit of loneliness. Let it not overcome you. Jesus said, be of good cheer. He has already overcome this world. This is the day that the Lord has made. Let's rejoice and be glad in it.

Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
