How To Experience Everlasting Change In Life?
In order to experience everlasting change in life, we need to cast our all to God. What are some of the essential natures we need to cast before God?
Sin turned us into highly opinionated, worrying, and selfish human beings. It is impossible for any man to overcome this state with his own strength. No amount of common good programs can brings peace and prosperity in a world overflowing in sinful natures. Mankind is trying everything possible, sadly, without God. Nevertheless, a change is necessary. The Change is coming.
Do you want to see a great change in your walk with God? Then surrender these three things daily in prayer.
Cast your thoughts and imaginations at Jesus feet to experience everlasting change
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.
2 Corinthians 10:5
Everyone thinks. Everyone has an opinion. In Christ, neither our thinking nor opinions are worth it if it's not based on the word of God. We love imagining a future and dwelling in thinking what seems best for us. But, if it isn't founded on the love of God, these thoughts and imaginations will prove futile and defeating.
We are called to think like Jesus (Philippians 2:5). There is a way to think (Philippians 4:8). When we surrender ourselves in prayer desiring holiness and righteousness, the Holy Spirit sanctifies our thinking.
Cast your cares upon God
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Cast ALL your cares upon God. Seek God (Matthew 6:24-34). Give up carnal living and pursuits (Luke 17:26-30). Whatever we do in word or in deed, do it unto God. Worry is an outcome of sinful natures. It is not faith based living. Learning to cast all our worries to God, and taking up the burden of Christ will keep us on track to meet Jesus when He appears in His eternal glory.
Cast off your garment
And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.
Mark 10:50
Cast off YOUR GARMENT at His feet. Become zero (Philippians 2:6). Do not self seek (1 Corinthians 13:5). Overcome hypocrisy (Matthew 23). Put on the spiritual garments of God.
When we begin giving up all for God, and to God, our lives begin to transform completely. Loving God with all our heart, mind and strength is the only way to surrender the above things we hold on to.
God is good. Worthy of all praise. Surrender all to Him. Maranatha, praise God and amen.
