How To Enjoy Life As A Prisoner?
No one wants to be a prisoner. No one thinks of being a prisoner as a positive. Being a prisoner sounds like a terrible situation to be in. Doesn’t it? Not so for a Christian.
A Christian is bound by God’s love. What happens when you are imprisoned in God’s love? You exhibit the fruit of His love. Faith, Hope, Joy of heaven explodes in your life. Peace like a river flows, satisfying the soul.
I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love: and I was to them as they that take off the yoke on their jaws, and I laid meat unto them. (Hosea 11:4)
Being a prisoner of God's love
Paul, who had it all, left all he gained in this world to become a prisoner of God’s love. He used to imprison and kill Christians, only to become one himself for the glory of God.
“I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,”. Ephesians 4:1
Unlike the world love, we are bound by a love that frees and feeds us. Paul never lacked anything materially when he was under slavery to his false religion. In Christ, he never lacked anything materially or spiritually as God led him daily by the power of God's love. He suffered great persecution in his apostolic journey, living each day with godly sorrow.
God is calling us to a complete surrender, a wholehearted belief and trust. He desires to work mightily in us so we walk worthily. Turn to God, hold on to Him till the end. Maranatha, praise God and amen.
