How To Bear All Things On This Earth?

Can human “love” bear all things? No. God's Love bears all things (1 Corinthians 13:7). Only the love of God has the power to bear all things. God’s love, Jesus, before He bore the sins of the world on the cross, He had to bear many other obstacles since birth.

Ten incidents that reveal how Jesus had to bear all things

  1. Herod tried to kill Him soon as He was born. God miraculously made a way when there seemed no way out of this mess. An angel of God warned about Herod’s plan to kill Jesus (Matthew 2:13-16).
  2. Parents pulled Jesus away at 12 when He was in the temple expounding scripture with the religious folk. Jesus knew His purpose at an early age. Christian parents need to teach their children to follow Jesus at an early age, by being examples themselves.
  3. Satan tempted Jesus as He started His ministry. Satan tried to persuade Jesus to give into the lusts of the flesh, lust of the eyes and the pride of this life. (Matthew 4:1-11)
  4. The Disciples betrayed Jesus in different ways. Except John, we see how everyone ran away when Judas brought Roman soldiers to arrest Jesus. The disciples often allowed their fleshly passions to rule them even though they were walking with Jesus - being angered over Samaria, sleeping instead of praying, fearing instead of trusting, etc.
  5. Many other disciples left following Jesus (John 6:66). How hard it would have been for Jesus to see so many reject Him. Yet, He patiently walked according to His calling, doing the will of the Father.
  6. Jesus’ earthly family spoke against Him (Mark 3:21). His hometown rejected Him (Matthew 13:57).
  7. Pharisees and scribes falsely accused Jesus.
  8. Strangers mocked Jesus while on the cross.
  9. Roman soldiers insulted Jesus, apart from torturing Him.
  10. Finally, He took the sin of all the world upon Him. Isn't Jesus wonderful? 💕

As believers, if we meditate on each of these points in depth, our lives will be transformed further for His glory. The love of God is rich and true. There is no one like Him. Let’s love Jesus with all our heart, mind and strength. Jesus is coming for us, His bride. Maranatha, Praise God and Amen!
