How To Be Holy As A Believer?

God has separated us for Himself (Leviticus 20:26) because He is holy. He separated us from Egypt (bondage) so we can stay undefiled and bound to Him alone (Leviticus 11:45)

How to grow in the holiness God has called us into?

5 ways to be holy as a believer

1. We need to hear the word of God. Consistently hearing the word of God through fellowship and personal meditation keeps our inner man clean.

Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

John 15:3

2. Build the most holy faith by praying in the Holy Spirit daily.

But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

Jude 20

3. Sanctification is the will of God. We need to do the will of God. The word of God and the anointing of the Holy Spirit keeps us in the will of God.

For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:

1 Thessalonians 4:3

4. Present our bodies as a living sacrifice. Paul reminds us to also bring this body to subjection so we can run this race confidently.

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

1 Corinthians 6:19

5. Be holy in all manner of conduct. A lifestyle in Christ is the only new and true style.

But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

1 Peter 1:15
