6 Reasons To Consider While Pursuing A Holy Life

What is holiness? How to begin to understand what it means to be holy?

All mankind has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. No one can teach us holiness, or help us grow in holiness, other than God.

Why do we need to be holy? Without holiness no man can see God (Hebrews 12:14). What should we remember as we pursue a life in Christ? If we cannot see God without holiness, how are we worshipping Him?

6 simple reasons to consider while pursuing a holy life

1. God is holy (1 Peter 1:16).

"Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy."

2. The presence of God is holy (Isaiah 6:3).

"And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory."

3. The word of God is holy (Romans 6:17).

Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

4. Jesus is holy (John 15:3)

Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

5. The Holy Spirit is, Holy

Obviously, right? teehee.

6. Anointed cherub was on a holy mountain. He was holy too, till he fell (Ezekiel 28:14)

Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

Till we do not surrender our spirit, soul and body to do the will of God we cannot experience nor learn of God’s holiness. Jesus walked in holiness because he did the will of God. Mighty works followed thereafter.

The heavens declare the holiness of God. Let our hearts and minds consistently declare God’s holiness. Be found daily pursuing a holy life. Maranatha, Praise God and Amen.
