How to be a soldier that saves souls?
Most children love first-person soldier video games. They also love imagining 'being a soldier'. Children of God are the only true soldiers the world needs today. A true soldier of Christ daily walks in godly armour. Do you have your armour on wherever you go?
What is the armour for a soldier of God?
- Helmet of Salvation: We must never forget who we are, why we are here, and from where we have been rescued from (1 Peter 2:9). God has opened our minds to our true identity in Him.
- Breastplate of Righteousness: Uphold the word of God in your heart. Let the word be rooted and grounded in your heart. Love God, and you will keep His commandments.
- Loins gird with Truth: Our minds need to stay in line with Jesus, who is the truth. Stuck to what the captain (Jesus) has instructed.
- Shield of Faith: To protect our hearts and minds from the fiery darts of the devil. Fiery darts refer to false prophecy and teaching. Guard your heart and move forward by faith in God’s word.
- Shoes of Peace: To spread the word of God wherever we go. The word of God is the gospel of peace. Every Christian is a peacemaker.
- Sword of the Spirit the Word of God: All who are led by the Spirit of God receives the word of God in time to preach. In season out of season.
What's the power of a true soldier? He or She is called to save the soul of a person forever. How about playing the GAME (Grace and Mercy everlasting) of Christ? This is no ordinary journey. It's a supernatural one, led and fought by God for us.
