Have you been undone?
It does not matter who you are, what you’ve achieved in this world. The laurels during education, a fantastic career, the abundance of qualifications and great position, all are vanity. Anyone who pursues anything more than God, invests in anything more than God is living in vain.
Religious people are idol worshippers. They create their own god, and worship is purely emotional. It lacks understanding or supernatural encounter that liberates. It just gives you a great feeling and SELF satisfaction. I know, I’ve been there. Sins false belief system created naturally is an abomination to God. A sinful man worships a false god. Without the perfect sacrifice of Jesus, he is walking in sin, enslaved to a life of anger, bitterness, hatred, jealousy and all kinds of evil, unsanctified natures.
All those who truly seek God, find Jesus. All those who sincerely seek God also understand that their life needs order and decorum to stay committed in the pursuit of God. Even though they don’t understand the awesomeness of God’s love and purity. The conscience helps bringing the person to walk correctly.
Isaiah was a major prophet in the Old Testament period. He had a revelation of Jesus. After he saw the beauty of God’s presence, he confessed his lack in spiritual walk. He was deeply remorseful after he saw the Seraphims (angels) worshipping God. The majesty and splendour of the almighty God, King of glory, tore his heart. He found himself as a man of unclean lips. A prophet who uses his mouth (lips) to prophesy and foretell events by the power of God is found out. He felt he was undone, troubled by the world around him to fall into living such a horrible standard of life.
In an increasingly sinful world, it’s easy to get carried away by the hatred, violence and evil acts of mankind. It’s frustrating, almost depressing, to read and hear so much negativity everyday. It just does not seem to end. Add to it your own world of family, neighbors and school, college or workplace. It gets really impossible to stay peaceful and loving.
When we behold the glory of God, everything changes. When Jesus is invited, made present, acknowledged, no matter what situation in life, no matter who is going against you, true Love from above wins.
The Seraphims covered their face and feet. We too need to preserve our holiness by guarding our heart and mind by protecting our eyes. What we expose ourselves to, has the power to change everything about how we need to be. Their feet were covered, signifying a peaceful and holy walk.
If you do not know Jesus, invite Him in your life. He isn’t an idol or a figment of mans imagination. History has recorded Him. He is God, a living God. Jesus loves you. Come as you are, let Him direct you in a new and fresh way for a life eternal in Him.
“In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke. Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts. Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.” Isaiah 6:1-7
