God Is In The Middle Of Persecution
"I was a nursing student in a new city, living in a hostel with some South Indian nurses. These nurses would often pray together but in their native language. They invited me to pray with them, but I was of a different religion. Also, I never understood what was said. One day, they started to sing in a common language. I enjoyed listening to the song and joined them. Over time, they called me over to their church-house meetings led by a couple. I decided to go as I learnt that the principal was happy about me going to church. (I had just filed for divorce. I also had a few months old daughter). I thought if she was happy, I could win her favour with my suitable office timings. Over time, I learned about Jesus and gave my life to Him. I kept asking God for the Holy Spirit but never got a response. One day, the Pastor's wife stayed back from a trip to her native because God asked her to pray with me. She cancelled her train and came the next day to pray. I received a mighty anointing from God that day.
Soon after, we had a new strict believer Matron, join, and she became a problem for some of the perverted doctors and nurses doing hanky panky. These doctors plotted against her and fed the media with lies about my conversion. The next morning, I woke up to a news headline on the front page that claimed I was falsely converted by the Matron. My name was published in the local newspaper in my village. That's when my parents got to know I had accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour. I was summoned to court by religious radicals who promised to protect me. I witnessed Christ to all in court that day. The entire case was withdrawn with my confession. For a few months, the police kept a watch on my daily movements and where I went to church. But I did not go anywhere for those months. Later, I met a believer who took me to her Pentecostal church of which I'm still a believer."
God works in miraculous ways. This sister's salvation became front-page news in her local city. But God gave her boldness to glorify God and face wicked men.
Dear believer, are you ready to stand for Jesus? Will you examine your life and seek God's face? Today is always the best day to tell someone about our sweet love, Jesus.
Prepare to meet Him. Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
