Forgive All The Time

What is one of Satan’s top attacks on man? It is the sin of an unforgiving spirit. Paul says when we do not forgive, we give Satan the advantage (2 Corinthians 2:10‭-‬11).

Satan is too opportunistic for us to let him have an advantage over us. He is always waiting to devour us (1 Peter 5:8). We are not strong enough to hold against his attack by hosting an unforgiving spirit in our hearts.

Sarah could not forgive Hagar after Ishmael mocked Isaac. Today, both generations are still locked in battle. The day she doubted and asked Abraham to have a child with Hagar, she gave room in her heart to get filled with hate and bitterness.

When we forsake the promise of God because we love our facts over His promises, we compromise our walk with Him.

Sometimes when we know we are right and the other is wrong, we still cannot forgive.

What fuels the unforgiving spirit? Jealousy, anger, hate, etc. Wicked Jezebel went and killed Naboth only because Naboth refused her husband, the King, his heritage land.

WHAT DOES JESUS SAY ABOUT FORGIVENESS?

We need to forgive seventy times seven. Simply put, every time, all the time

A master forgave his servant, but the servant did not forgive his servant. When the master got to know, he put his servant in jail. God forgave us. If we do not forgive others, we will end up in hellfire.

Yes! You will go to hell no matter what you think you've done for God if you have an unforgiving spirit.

How can we overcome this unforgiving spirit?

1. By the blood of Jesus, repent and seek a loving heart.

2. Through the word of God, receive a cleansing to renew your mind.

3. Be filled with the anointing of the Holy Spirit to quicken your spirit.

Then, you will get filled with the great love of God that will flush out every uncomely spirit.

Get ready! Jesus is coming for you. Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
