Do Not Go Against The Holy Spirit

What are the blessings in prophecy?

Scripture teaches us to be eager to prophesy (1 Corinthians 14:39).

Ways prophesy blesses us;

1. Prophesy edifies, encourages and comforts the church. (1 Corinthians 14:3)

2. Anointing drives growth (Acts 9:31)

The Holy Spirit helps us prophesy, not the will of man (2 Peter 1:21). Holiness comes through the Holy Spirit (2 Thessalonians 2:13). God wants us all to be prophets through the Spirit (Numbers 11:29).

There are some reasons why many Spirit baptised do not prophesy.

WHAT ARE THE SINS WE DO AGAINST THE HOLY SPIRIT?

1. Resist the Holy Spirit (Acts 7:52) (Isaiah 63:10)

2. Grieve the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:30,31) (Psalms 55:21)

3. Quench the Holy Spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:19)

4. Lie against the Holy Spirit (Acts 5:3)

5. Tempt the Holy Spirit (Acts 5:9)

6. Neglect the Holy Spirit (1 Timothy 4:14)

7. Despise the gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:20)

Only the Holy Spirit will prepare us for His soon coming.
