Discouragement Turns Into Encouragement With Him!

But Zion said, The Lord hath forsaken
me, and my Lord hath forgotten me. Isaiah‬ ‭49:14‬

Do you know who says I have been forsaken or forgotten? Well, this dejection has to come from someone who was very close, intimate with another person; somebody who they couldn’t afford to lose; probably a husband or wife or a very close person. Here, Zion is uttering that God has forsaken and forgotten her.

FYI - In the Bible, Zion is a place where God dwells - it is the highest place in Eternity. God is Holy, He desires His children to live with Him and so He has placed an open election for all those who desire to be there. Those who live a highly consecrated lifestyle rejecting the world and fulfilling God’s will alone are eligible to go there! Let me tell you - there are people living this way!

Coming back to the point - People who have known God closely, sometimes complain that He has left them. When they go through a rough patch of discouragement, sickness and unending problems, some do say such things. But the TRUTH is THE LORD NEVER LEAVES NOR FORSAKES THEM.

Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah were cast into the, 7 times intensely burning fiery furnace. But in the fire a fourth person was seen walking with them - He had the form of the Son of God. Daniel 3:25. Dear child of God, you are never alone in your trials. He is forever with you. In order not to feel His Presence away from you, make sure not to indulge yourself in sins and pleasures: because this can take you far away from God.

The Lord is also known as Elshaddai God meaning Mother-like. As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you;.... Isaiah‬ ‭66:13. Mostly mothers hang in and around children, laser focused on them when they are little - always alert. Once they grow big and are able to do things by themselves she takes a break. Nevertheless there are children still dependent on parents even after growing up. Scripturally, the Lord desires us to be like little children (humble and totally dependent on Him) so that He can be laser focused on us.

HE IS ALWAYS PRESENT TO HELP YOU!

Fret not; neither be anxious because He has engraved you in the palms of His hands and you are ever before Him. Though the steadfast mountains may depart and the hills be moved but He promises His kindness will not depart from you. Isaiah 54:10. The only thing you need to do is — Be with Him; Cast all your cares on Him because He cares for you. He won’t let you down.
