Caged Or Free?

Do you FEEL CAGED? There are times in life when you FEEL YOU ARE STUCK. While certain areas have issues, at least there's visible progress. A couple or so areas feel shut down. 

FREE FROM PHYSICAL SLAVERY BUT MENTALLY AND EMOTIONALLY CAGED

Israel felt caged despite walking with God in the wilderness journey. Great wonders and mighty visible miracles did not move them enough for them to stay faithful till the end. 

Israel had left Egypt physically but not spiritually. Their heart remained in the old way of doing things. The physical freedom from 430 years of slavery did not yield gratitude and faith in God. Instead, they gave in to various lusts, and the majority did not enter because of unbelief. 

KNOWING VERSES DOES NOT EQUAL KNOWING THE LIVING WORD OF GOD

The Jews knew the Word of God by heart but failed to recognise the living Word, JESUS, before them. The Jews remained caged in their minds. Though intellectuals, most got stuck in their old way of thinking. Most of them ended up crucifying Jesus.

BREAK THE CHAINS, GET OUT! BE FREE

School and college was like a cage for me. I hated to go to school for many reasons. I grew up hating myself. I found myself reacting in ways I'm glad today that Jesus helped me overcome years ago. 

The job felt like a cage initially till God opened my eyes to see how what we perceive as independence is just another form of slavery. 

Those who call on Jesus will never be ashamed. Prayers work wonders when we pray believing. The prayer of faith, followed by keeping to God's word out of love changes our approach to life. MANY ARE STUCK IN A RELIGIOUS RUT BECAUSE THEY LOVE THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD BUT NOT HIM.

True freedom begins when we love Him as our Father and praise Him during our toughest trials, encouraging ourselves in Him (1 Samuel 30).
