Who are you following? Christ or an apostle minister?
Paul said be ye followers of me even as I am of Christ. (1 Corinthians 11:1)
Paul as an apostle, encourages people to follow him because he is following Christ. So people can learn about Christ from him.
How confident are you about asking people to follow you because of Christ?
5 THINGS WE LEARN ABOUT PAUL TO FOLLOW HIM
These qualities derived from his confession in Acts 20 will help us reorient our focus for the last days.
DEVOTION: He served the Lord with all humility of mind and with many tears and temptations, which befell him by the lying in wait of the Jews. (19)
FERVENTLY LABOURED: He taught everything he knew that was profitable for spiritual growth. Laboured going from house to house. (20,21)
CONSECRATION: He desired nothing but to fulfil the will of God with joy till the end. (24)
OVERSEER: Paul preached the whole counsel of God to protect the flock from false teachers among them. (28-31)
GIVER: Paul was among the rare apostles who often earned money to distribute to the poor believers. He believed it was more blessed to give than to receive. (33-35)
Following Paul or any true apostle will lead you to love Jesus more and more. Love Jesus as Paul loved, and you will find yourself joyfully living for Jesus.
