Are You Struggling Spiritually?

Man's default position in the flesh is hypocrisy or self-righteousness. The sinful, unsaved man reeks of unrighteous and evil natures. But he doesn't know. He thinks he is good. That's the effect of sin in his life.

But as born-again believers, our default position has been reset to that of holiness and righteousness for the glory of God. It's not a change of perspective but an actual work of transformation by God in Christ.

WHY DO WE STRUGGLE TO GROW SPIRITUALLY?

There are several reasons; here are a few.

  1. Confusion of being on earth physically and living in heaven spiritually. Most are divided by their work on earth and the high, holy, and heavenly calling of God. (Refer: Matthew 6:24-34)

  2. Love their people and their (blood) family more than being united by the Spirit and Truth into a new Family in Christ. (Refer: Psalms 45:10-15, Matthew 19:29)

  3. The Bible has become a rulebook rather than a guide. Turning the words of God into a ritual rather than a relationship with the Father. Jesus was full of grace and truth. Be led by the Spirit of God.

  4. We forget our identity as soldiers and head into trials and temptations unarmed and unguarded. (Ephesians 6:10-20)

  5. Doubting if you are still worthy or not. The lack of consistency in prayer and Bible meditation gives room for doubts.

There are many reasons, but what matters is turning to God and pursuing Him in love. Love produces the obedience we need to live an OVERCOMING life and grow spiritually.

Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
