9 Qualities To Be His People! Part - 2

Well! As i told you in my last post there are 9 qualities needed to be in a child of God to be called His people. The first 3 of which — you can read it here. Now moving ahead with the rest:

4. We should be people known of the Lord - And the Lord shall be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians shall know the Lord in that day,.. Isaiah‬ ‭19:21‬. St.Paul in his letter to Timothy says, I know whom I have believed. 2 Timothy 1:12. But then, he does t stop there. He goes on to say - That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; Philippians‬ ‭3:10‬

The more we know Him, the more we will grow in Eternal Life. David desired to know God more and therefore he says .. to behold the beauty of the Lord and to enquire in his temple. Psalms 27:4. The Lord honoured his desire and revealed Himself so much so to David in a way that much before Jesus’ sufferings on earth, he prophesied about it way ahead of time. The Lord knows them that are His and His sheep can hear Him. This is possible only when we humble ourselves and become His sheep.

5. Swear to the Lord and vow a vow unto Him - Isaiah 19:18,21. Both refers to the same meaning. It means being faithful to the covenants that we made to the Lord. Perhaps in 2019 we couldn’t keep our promises to Him but let this New Year not be so. The Lord has been faithful in all His promises towards us, and in turn He has faith on us that we will fulfil the vows we did to Him.

Come, and let us go to Gilgal and renew the kingdom there. Samuel the prophet was saying this to the Israelites. 1 Samuel 11:14. Gilgal refers to the presence of God. We must come here to empty ourselves and renew the broken promises once made.

6. In that day shall there be an altar to the Lord in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to the Lord. And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the Lord because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them. Isaiah‬ ‭19:19-20‬

Pillar is proof that Egypt is My witness - God’s people. The Spirit of God should bear this witness about us that we are His people. 1 John 5:7,8. We are for signs and for wonders in Israel for the Lord of hosts. Isaiah 8:18.
