5 P's for the Last Days

We are in the last days, and a time is coming when no man can work. What work? Freely enjoying fellowship and spreading the gospel.

I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. (John 9:4,5)

Jesus was not only talking about himself but also indicating about the times ahead. Jesus finished his work at the appointed time the Heavenly Father planned for Him. We too, as believers and followers of Christ need to reflect Christ to the world. Christians are called to be the light of the world.

What is expected from us, Spirit baptised believers, in the New Testament period? Believers need to gird the loins of their mind and purpose in their heart to wholly love the Lord. Jesus will appear anytime now. If you are thinking He won't anytime soon, always remember your life is not in your hands. To live is Christ and die is gain. Let your death be a gain for the glory of God, for yourself and those who are blessed by your ministry.

I'd like to share 5 P's necessary for Believers to execute on an immediate basis;

Profit

“Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.” 1 Timothy‬ ‭4:13, 15‬ ‭

Believers need to invest their time and effort in building themselves in the word of God. Grow roots, so flowers and fruits appear, revealing Christ in your lifestyle.

Preach

“And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Matthew‬ ‭10:7‬ ‭

There are many verses that encourage believers to preach and teach the word of God, in the Bible. Unless, we don’t preach how can people know? The people we meet in life are not accidents but part of God’s great plan. Let your world know about Jesus. Preach him freely now as much as you can.

Publish

Inspired by a prophecy in church, I jotted down this point. In the prophecy, God revealed He would teach our fingers to fight.

In a world of touch technology, and explosion of content creation, everyone, mature enough, has access to a mobile. The power of the gospel is literally at their fingertips. Write your blogs, publish on social media, message, etc. use whatever you have a talent for to get the Word out and lift people out of the lies that surround them, and those in depression and loneliness.

Persevere

“Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.” Luke‬ ‭13:24‬ ‭

Only when we strive, staying focused on Jesus will we be able to enter into the kingdom of God. Many will desire to enter but they won’t be able to. Without tribulation no one can enter heaven.

Pray

“Pray without ceasing.” 1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:17‬ ‭

No believer can continually pray without the infilling of the Holy Spirit. God is always in search of people who are willing to stand in the gap, in intercessory prayers. Prayer Warriors are an urgent need for the kingdom of God. Pray in tongues, pray with understanding, be thankful.
