What is the one thing you cannot afford to forget?

Every believer understands this one thing. Every human faces it daily.

What is it?

Spiritual warfare.

It is daily, every hour, every moment of every day. How is it possible to be alert every single moment? How does one fight this battle? There’s so much to do all the time. All genuine questions, necessary human questions.

The battle against mental or emotional health issues is a spiritual fight. The strongholds are spiritual and the enemies are spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12 clearly categorises who the real enemies are. There are no enemies other than spiritual ones for man. When man behaves like the enemy it is only because he or she is influenced by evil spirits that cause evil natures.

Choices...

We are either vessels of honour or dishonour. (2 Timothy 2:20,21)

Choose God so we shine through in Christ, or remain in darkness. (2 Corinthians 4:7)

Be the Luke 7:8 soldier who knew the power of God or Luke 23:36 soldier who mocked and physically hurt Jesus.

We can choose to be John whom Jesus loved, or Judas the betrayer.

Daily, we make these choices to move ahead in our spiritual walk. If Christ would not have been revealed to us, we would have lived like the worldly person, still in sin - living for self, under slavery to Satan fulfilling bodily lusts and caring for the things of this world only.

The Believer Knows...

To those who believe Jesus as the only way, truth and life, realise the love and power he or she is surrendered to. It takes trust beyond our wildest imaginations. Love that we’ve never known and can only learn daily to grow in. Peace that passeth all understanding to withstand the wiles of the devil. All good comes from God.

Furthermore, God says, to stand (Ephesians 6:10). To not be ignorant (2 Corinthians 2:11).

It will take praying and bible meditating believers to stand, no matter what comes against them. That is why the Bible says, Pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17), meditate on the Word of God day and night (Psalms 1:2).

Be Ready...

It will take Christians to be like Christ who suffered on the cross for all of mankind and rose again the third day giving all those who believe, victory over sin and death. This is our call as believers! To suffer now so we can reign in eternity. Be ready to die. Be ready to serve the Lord in any circumstance, under whatever duress. If you are with God, He will fulfil all His promises concerning you. You will be the overcomer that God prepared you to be. Spiritual warriors who fight the good fight, faithfully till the very end.

May God help us all!
