How To Be A Young Believer In The Last Days?

What does it mean to be a young Christian in the last days? Paul, writing to young Timothy, charges him with a responsibility considering the times.

It’s critical we understand how he begins with the impending judgement on the earth. How Jesus will do the judging - not a common message these days. Today it’s mostly about how loving Jesus is, rather than how a loving God is a just God as well. Jesus has the keys to hell.

He instructs to be available always to preach the gospel. There is no one season for it. We need to be instant in our approach with spreading the word of God. Now is always the time to tell the world about Jesus.

Most believers have mingled with the world and prefer listening to preaching that pleases their convenient lifestyles. Even today, so many Christian’s try to be relevant during Christmas rather than putting the truth out boldly. What a waste of opportunity!

What is expected from a young Believer today?

“I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.”

2 Timothy‬ ‭4:1-5‬ ‭

  1. watch thou in all things, (Luke 21:36)
  2. endure afflictions, (2 Timothy 3:12)
  3. do the work of an evangelist, (Ephesians 4:11)
  4. make full proof of thy ministry. (Colossians 1:4)

Arise and shine for Jesus dear young believer! The time is now. Dive into prayer and meditation of God’s word. Let the Holy Spirit stir you into great and mighty works. Maranatha, Praise God and Amen!
