Why Wear The Armour Of God? Part-2

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians‬ ‭6:11‬

It is highly imperative for us to be wearing the Armour of God at all times in order to withstand the fiery darts of the enemy against us. There are 8 reasons in total as to why we should be armed with this protective covering God has given us. You can read the first four reasons here. Now moving on to the others:

5. To abstain from all fleshly lusts - The enemy uses the weapon of earthly and carnal desires to entice us away from God. 1 Peter 4:2. Carnal desires only leads us to spiritual death but, being heavenly minded brings life and peace. So then how do we keep ourselves away from fleshly lusts? By living as pilgrims and strangers on this earth.

6. To fight against all evil - Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Ephesians‬ ‭6:13‬.

7. To escape the darkness going to come upon this earth - We must be walking in the Light and being light (burden free) as well. This is possible only by having fellowship with one another. Jesus is coming for a small group who are anointed and living in one mind.

8. To keep it always shining and ready for use - Did you know those working in the police force or in the army, are asked to keep their weapons clean and in a sparkling condition? This is how even our spiritual weapons and armour should also be! Not in a faded state but fresh and ready to use. 1 Thessalonians 5:8,9.

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord. Isaiah‬ ‭54:17‬
