Why do our hearts get darkened in life?
How to overcome the fear and growing darkness in your heart? The state of being in fear or confusion reveals the spiritual darkness trying to overcome you.
Darkness grows when we do not give room for the light in our hearts. God delivered us from the kingdom of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of His dear son - Jesus Christ who gives us light.
As believers, when we spend time away from God, we invite trouble. Satan tries to get a stronghold. It is only through the mercy of God that we are able to overcome these strongholds through sincere prayer.
Three reasons why our hearts get darkened, as per Romans 1:21,28.
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

- We do not glorify God
- We live ungrateful lives
- No retention of God's knowledge in our daily walk
When we do not sincerely believe God is good, we don't bother praising Him. Neither do we bother to thank Him for all the good He does daily in our lives. When we do not do both, we end up forgetting Him and what He has really said in His Word. We end up living as we please, doing our own will.
Only God is worthy of all honour, and praise. When we glorify God He dwells in us and clears out every darkness. The least we can do is give Him what He deserves - our lives. We belong to Him. May God help us pour out our lives for His glory and praise. Maranatha, Praise God and Amen.
