Is Crying A Sign Of Weakness?

Dear friend 🙌

Allow me to ask you this question — is there something that has been bothering you for quite some time; something that you’ve been wanting and waiting to get done with? Are you troubled and burdened because of the situations and people you face during work or otherwise? Are there questions you want to be answered quickly but haven’t received them yet because there is a delay? Do you desire to have a close intimacy with your Saviour, a relationship that is carved forever and yet you are unable to have it?

This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. Psalms‬ ‭34:6‬

Well....!! 🤷🏻‍♀️King David, a man after God’s own heart, also had to face such a troubled time, like we all face, during his lifetime as well. There was a point in his life wherein his family (people whom he called his own), army, friends and kingdom went against him. The people spoke of stoning him. 1 Samuel 30:6. He thought everything was over for him. However, did any of this stop him from calling out to his Saviour?? NO! Absolutely not!✌️

Psalm 34 is a Scripture portion written by David himself, in which he says that he had to change his behaviour into a madman before the king of Gath— to find a way to flee away from him. This was also the time when David was fleeing for his life, from king Saul because David knew Saul was after him, to kill him. He kept running from one place to another and ended up before Achish, king of Gath, who had close ties with Saul. There he HAD TO feign himself like a madman!!

And he changed his behaviour before them, and feigned himself mad in their hands, and scrabbled on the doors of the gate, and let his spittle fall down upon his beard. Then said Achish unto his servants, Lo, ye see the man is mad: wherefore then have ye brought him to me? 1 Samuel‬ ‭21:13-14‬.

However what’s interesting is — nothing of all this could stop him from calling out to God who could save him from all his troubles. He made himself as a poor man and cried, looking up to God. Yes, in these days, what’s required of us is to humble ourselves more and more before the Lord and cry aloud — for our children, family, people, nation.. you name it!! Lamentations 2:18. It’s time to shed tears and cry like a poor man, for his needs to be met.

When David cried before the Lord, He heard him and delivered him from all his troubles! Praise the Lord! What’s stopping you from pouring out your heart before God? Pray like a warrior, with faith that the Lord hears you and receive your answers from Him!

They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. Psalms‬ ‭34:5‬. May the Lord help us!

Be blessed! đź’•
