Who Am I?

You see, a potter can only mould the clay when it lies completely in his hand. It requires complete surrender - Corrie Boom I totally agree!!Do you desire to be in the hands of the Wise Potter? Well then, that's the place to be.The literal Israelites were rejected by God because His purpose for them couldn't be fulfilled. That's why He chose you and me so that His desire would be fulfilled in us.Jeremiah 18:6 - O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the Lord. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.

5 features of the Clay when it's in the Potter's hands:

1. Job 10:8,9- The Lord has made us as the clay. His hands have fashioned me. Job knew that God created man out of the dust of the earth, on the sixth day. All the other days, God just spoke His Word and everything came into being. But God didn't say - Let there be men. Rather, He took the dust and according to the plan in His mind, He made man. The psalmist says, We are fearfully and wonderfully made. Nevertheless, we should never forget that we are clay. Our bodies (Job 13:12), houses (Job 4:19), silver and raiment (Job 27:16), wealth and riches (Habakkuk 2:6) all are made of clay.2. King Solomon made all the vessels of the house of God in the clay ground between Succoth and Zarthan - 1 Kings 7:45-47. Succoth means Cattle-shed and Zarthan means Cool. After Jesus was born, He was placed in a manger in a cattle-shed. As Jesus humbled Himself, if we humble ourselves, His image will be formed in us. This refers to the experience of being in Succoth.Again, in the cool of the day, God would come to the Garden of Eden and have fellowship with Adam and Eve. This is the experience of Zarthan.Do you desire to be made into a beautiful useful vessel? Being in the clay ground is the place for you - between Succoth and Zarthan. In this way, when we humble ourselves and are in fellowship with God, His image will be formed in us. The Loving Potter will will make us into a goodly vessel.3. Before the clay is made into a good vessel do you know what the potter does? Isaiah 41:25 - He treads the clay with his feet. God's feet are like fine brass. Brass stands for the Grace of God. He treads the clay with great love.It pleased the Father to bruise His own Son - Isaiah 53:10. Romans 9:20,21 says the clay can't question the Potter as to why it's made to bear so much pain. Because the clay knows that it is being made into a vessel of grace and honour. He will lead us through paths of suffering, reproaches, accusations, ill-treatment. It's His love that makes us go through this to become useful vessels for Him.4. Isaiah 64:8 - But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand. As Jesus experienced God as His father, He wants the same for us too. God can be father only to someone who humbles himself as clay. Then, the clay that is trodden comes into the loving hands of the potter. Until the image, he bears in his mind is formed in the clay, his hands keep on working. The nail scarred hands of Jesus are fashioning us into His very same image. Let's remain there for His purpose to be fulfilled in us.5. Jeremiah 18:3 - Then I went down to the potter's house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels. To become vessels of honour we need to be on the wheels. Wheels stands for God's will. Then we will become smooth. His hands will continuously work on us to give us a form thereby becoming a complete vessel. He is perfect in love, faith, holiness and doing will of God. Similarly by remaining on the wheels, the clay gets the perfect image the potter desires it to have.Dear Believer in Christ, God has called you with a purpose, be a light to the world around you.Dear Reader, if you do not know Jesus, call out to Him. He will come to you. Surrender your life to the Potter's hands. Jesus loves you.
