What is faith according to the Bible?
What is faith? It is knowing that God exists. That God is present before us. When we believe He is present then we will also believe He will lead us through any trial or temptation victoriously. If you have giant by your side, and you need to fight another average man. Will you fear? No, right? You know you won’t need to move a muscle because the giant will crush him with one blow.
“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God MUST BELIEVE THAT HE IS, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6)
One of the most common mistakes believers make is forgetting that God is present when you sit to pray. If you don’t believe God is present then you won’t have the confidence to move forward trusting in God. Why? Because your prayer lacked belief. It was a traditional prayer. A ritual.
What is faith that trusts in God?
Joshua led an army to battle Jericho. Though the enemy was mightier and stronger than Israel, the testimony of God doing great wonders for Israel had already melted their hearts. The final shout is a revelation of victory before having even started the battle.
And the seventh time, when the priests had blown the trumpets, Joshua said to the people, “Shout! For the Lord has given you the city. (Joshua 6:16)
They believed that they had already received their victory!
“Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” (Mark 11:24)
When we believe we are in the presence of the Almighty God we will receive the faith to receive what is promised.
What’s your trial? What is your challenge? If you are in the will of God, SHOUT! SHOUT FOR VICTORY IS YOURS IN JESUS MIGHTY NAME!
Prepare your heart for Jesus, He is coming soon. Praise God & Amen!
